Finally a roof over your head again
After a few days of uncertainty, temporary accommodation and tireless searching, we were able to move into a small rented apartment in Lahore.
The children have now found a new home here – a place where they can sleep, learn, eat and laugh again.
The house is simple but safe. After everything they have experienced, that alone means an incredible amount. The children help to prepare the rooms, lay out small carpets and paint the walls. Bit by bit, a sense of normality – and of family – returns.
However, the rent naturally eats up part of our income, so we want to set up our own home again as soon as possible.
For all of us, this step is a strong sign of hope. It shows that help gets through, that commitment pays off and that together we can build something that lasts.
